Animals beginning with the letter “wh” can be some of the most remarkable creatures. Whales, such as belugas and humpbacks, have captivated us since antiquity due to their mesmerizing songs, graceful movements, and immense size.
Wolf packs amaze through their collective hunting tactics and high intelligence akin to that of domestic dogs. Whydahs garner attention for their long tails and brightly colored feathers, while white-tailed eagles astonish with their colossal wingspans.
Not to be forgotten is another one – whip-poor-wills! These small birds provide night-time serenades with their namesake phrase “whip poor will…” featured in Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
