Animals That Start With Sh

Have you ever wondered which animals start with the letters ‘sh’? Well, look no further: let’s begin with the shark. These fascinating creatures live in oceans and seas around the world, often near coral reefs or rocky regions in shallow coastal waters. Sharks feed on a variety of prey such as fish, squid, other sharks and even whales! An interesting fact to remember: sharks have been around for more than 400 million years!

The sheep is another mammal beginning with “”sh””, which can be seen grazing in both rural and urban environments. Their diet consists mainly of grasses, leaves, buds, flowers – and occasionally insects. We can thank these hairy creatures for wool used to create garments like sweaters, coats, hats and more!

The shrew is also one of these special “”sh”” animals – though it might appear like a mouse at first glance – it actually belongs to its own category! Shrews nest close to water sources such as rivers or ponds where they are very adept swimmers as well as outstanding runners and climbers; their main source of sustenance is insects but they could possibly go after birds or eggs too!

Finally we have the skunk; its main feature being its potent odorous spray used to ward off predators or keep any competing scavengers away from its food. Skunks usually lead solitary lives but they do join forces during mating season leaving two different kinds of skunks in existence: striped skunks found mostly in North America and hog-nosed skunks located farther south in Central America.
