Animals That Start With S

Have you ever noticed a Sperm Whale? It is a giant of the sea, belonging to the group of animals starting with an S – along with Sloths which move at a very slow speed and are found in South and Central America. Additionally, Salamanders are slimy, small amphibians that live near streams and ponds.

While camping or hiking in nature, don’t forget to look out for Skunks, which inhabit North America. Snails are another intriguing creature commencing with an S; despite their slow pace they leave behind slime tracks as they move around. Meanwhile, Squirrels dart through woodlands all over Europe and North America.

Other creatures beginning with an S include Seals, Sharks, Sea Turtles, Stingrays, Squids and Starfish; all living within the seas or oceans on Earth that vary in size and shape!

Finally, let us not forget about Swans – these majestic birds possess long beautiful necks and lovely feathers. If you ever get close to a lake or pond you’re sure to catch sight of some swans!
