Animals That Start With J

Jaguars, native to Central and South America, are large cats with spotted fur that prey on animals such as fish, turtles and deer. Their strength in swimming is also noteworthy.

Jackals are small mammals found in parts of Africa, Asia and Europe that look similar to dogs but have longer legs and broader heads, allowing them to catch mice or birds for food. Scavenging is a common practice among them.

Jellyfish may not seem like typical animals, but they do exist in thousands of species from tiny discs to creatures up to eight feet wide which produce their own light!

Juncos are small birds mainly found in North America that boast yellow-olive feathers atop white plumage plus black stripes on the head and cheeks. Seeds or grains are what these birds love most, so why not add some sunflower seeds to your bird feeder if you want to attract them?
