Birds That Start With T

Toucans, thrushes, turkeys, titmice, trogons and tracked petrels are all birds that start with the letter ‘T’.

Found in tropical rainforests of Central and South America, toucans boast colorful feathers and long beaks while actually enjoying the presence of people.

Meanwhile, thrushes reside in North American and European forests with their distinct “truu” sound plus greyish brown plumage and white wing or tail patches.

Additionally, turkeys are large domesticated fowl native to North America with numerous subspecies located worldwide from Mexico to Asia Minor. Weighing between 4 to 18 pounds when grown, they show off stunning red, yellow and green feathers.

Titmice prefer wooded areas in Europe and Canada where they’re easily recognizable due to their short tails, elongated bodies and head tufts!

Trogons are insect-eating birds found in Africa while tracked petrels mostly flock along Australia’s east coast line. Both these mysterious species often spend most of their time secluded high up in trees or gliding above the ocean surface respectively.
