The Quetzal, an exquisite creature found only in Mexico, Central and South America, is known for its iridescent feathery coat and a crest of vibrant red and green feathers on its head.
This majestic bird mainly subsists on fruits but will occasionally indulge in some insects for sustenance. Its high nesting sites make it difficult to spot as it blends in with its natural environment very well.
These vegetarian birds have a peculiar diet which makes them truly captivating to watch. Even though it can be hard to find them due to their lofty nesting spots, they are still definitely worth seeking out if you ever take a journey through the places afore mentioned!
