Birds That Start With N

Birds are often viewed as quite remarkable creatures, and many of them begin with the letter N. Here is an overview of some notable species:

The Nightingale, a small bird known for its beautiful singing that can be heard mainly in the evening hours and found throughout Europe, Asia and parts of Africa.

The Northern Flicker, a woodpecker easily recognizable by its bright red-orange belly and wingspots that makes drumming noises while pecking away at trees.

The Nutcracker, related to crows but resembling blackbirds, living in cold climates all over North America, Europe and Asia with a diet consisting mostly of pine seeds.

And finally the Nanday Parakeet (often shortened to ‘Nandays’), originating from South America yet spread worldwide due to popularity among pet owners – if taught properly it can even imitate human speech.
