Birds That Start With J

There are plenty of bird species that start with the letter J, such as the Jaçana and Jackdaw. The Jaçana is known for its impressive crest, long legs, and massive feet; this special adaptation helps it to wade through rivers and marshes.

Additionally, these birds have webbed toes which help them to move swiftly in water.

On the other hand, Jackdaws are primarily grayish-black in plumage with a distinctive white patch on their cheeks; they mainly inhabit open areas like meadows or pastures.

Another J-bird is the Jacana, otherwise known as the Jesus Bird – boasting huge feet that enable it to stand atop lily pads while searching for food underwater; these remarkable creatures can surely be an impressive sight!
